Epoxy Deck Coatings for Pools and Patios

Durall Industrial Flooring announces the
availability of custom-tailored flooring kits for coating concrete or wood pool
and patio surfaces.
Seamless and chemically resistant, these pool and patio deck coatings are made
of epoxy and urethane that flow on and then, by changing their chemistry, become
resistant to dirt and stains. These flow-coated surfaces are impervious to water
and can be applied on the deck as well as into the pool itself because chlorine
and pool-cleaning chemicals have no effect on them. Unlike tile or cement
finishes, these surfaces have no grout and are easy to keep clean. With good
preparation, flow-coated surfaces are applied permanently, refinished easily,
and require little or no maintenance.
Great new looks are also available, with over 20 colors to choose from. For a
grander appearance, surfaces such as granite, tile, and slate may be simulated
by placing varying colors and types of quartz particles into the epoxy or
urethane. Embedded logos, stripes, and sparkly yellow brick roads are also now
appearing in homes, hotels, and health clubs. The deck finish can feature heavy
or moderate skid resistance yet still be easy to sweep or squeegee. Different
parts of the surface may be smooth as needed and can be accented with decorative
